Quality Corner

As we complete the last concrete slab pour, ensuring the quality of the finish on the slab and elevation is important. Throughout the concrete pour, multiple times the elevation is verified to ensure the top of the slab is at the correct elevation. As the concrete slab is setting up and is being finished, it is also important that the floor flatness is verified as this slab will be the substrate for the entry terrazzo floor!

Upcoming Work

  • Sequence 2 Duct installation

  • Sequence 2 Flat Roofing

  • Sequence 1 and 2 Sheathing, Blocking, and Air Barrier

  • Sequence 2 in wall rough-in

  • Sequence 3 slab pours

  • Sequence 1 insulation of mechanical pipes

  • West elevation window installation

  • Skyway concrete pours

It appears that the Nistler Skyway will enter Merrifield Hall at the north end of the second floor. That means that it would emerge in Merrifield just outside the office of my father (Prof. Elwyn B Robinson) office! Will there be a continuation skyway that will cross University Ave?

Thanks for your question Stephen! At this time we don’t have plans in place for a skywalk to cross University Ave at this location. This may be considered at some point in the future as the property on the north side of University Ave is developed.
