The University of North Dakota’s Chester Fritz Library is celebrating 125 years as a participant in the Federal Depository Library Program. The University was named a Federal Depository Library on January 20, 1890.

In 1968 the Chester Fritz Library and the North Dakota State University library were designated Joint Regional Depositories for the State of North Dakota. The Chester Fritz Library has federal documents totaling over 500,000 titles.

We will be hosting an event honoring the designation in the Chester Fritz Library, East Asian Room, May 8, at 10AM. A student project using government documents and other items will be on display. Cake will be served.
