Students find their people in UND campus communities

Nearly 15,000 students strong, the University of North Dakota is big enough for the world but small enough for everyone to feel at home.

And if your student is the type who likes to be even more neighborly, he or she can choose from nine different Living & Learning CommunitiesAtmospheric Sciences, Aviation, Business, Education, Engineering, Go Global, Honors, Social Justice and Wellness.

So, how does it work? A Living & Learning Community, or LLC, is all about finding your student’s people — like-minded students who share an academic major or area of interest — and building lifelong friendships as they live, learn and laugh together.

It’s an integrated approach to intellectual and personal growth because roommates often are classmates. Students study for the same tests, struggle through the same challenges and celebrate the same triumphs — such as winning the Engineering Egg Drop.

All assignments to LLCs are made in conjunction with other housing assignments. Your student can follow the link to learn more and sign up. And if he or she wants to meet even more people, they can join the Class of 2023 Facebook group.
