One decision saves you $32,000

What if one decision could save you $32,000? What if that decision was as simple as choosing to go to the University of North Dakota? During this time of financial uncertainty, it sounds like a no-brainer.

UND offers a quality education at a competitive, affordable price in more than 225 academic fields. Your student can major in everything from Aviation to Accounting, Nursing to Public Health, Communication to Cybersecurity, Engineering, Education or Business. And, of course, a whole lot more.

Consider this:

  1. You know your investment from the start.
UND has some of the lowest costs in the nation. Our tuition rates are based on where you live, degree type and credits. Fees are included and upfront, so there are no surprises. A North Dakota resident at UND can expect to pay $6,000 to $8,000* less per semester than a full-time student at the University of Minnesota Duluth and University of Minnesota Twin Cities. That’s a savings of $24,000 to $32,000* for a four-year undergraduate degree. As a Minnesota resident, you can expect similar savings. Your student will still pay $5,000 to $7,000* less per semester than a full-time student at the University of Minnesota Duluth and University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
  2. Financial aid comes in all sizes.
It’s our priority to help your student afford UND. On average, UND students receive $11,700 annually in financial assistance — including loans, grants, fellowships and scholarships. It isn’t too late to fill out your FAFSA. If you have already applied but your financial status has changed, contact One-Stop Student Services for options.
  3. UND is a best-value University.
Every accredited college or university offers education, but not every school prepares your student to make a real impact the way UND does. UND is increasingly regarded as one of the top academic and research institutions in the nation. We consistently rank among the best for educational quality, affordability and career outcomes. A recent study shows that UND provides a better return on investment over 40 years than schools like Penn State, Arizona State University, Florida State University, Texas A&M and UMass (Center on Education and the Workforce, 2020).

Choosing UND may be the easiest (and most economical) decision you and your student make all year.

*Numbers are based on the 2019-20 undergraduate base tuition rate for full-time North Dakota and Minnesota residents. Tuition rates are subject to change for the 2020-21 academic year.
