UND sees enrollment growth despite pandemic

Things are looking up at the University of North Dakota.

We are pleased to report positive first-day numbers in key categories such as overall enrollment, new transfer students, new graduate students and new law students.

This year, UND’s first-day total enrollment hit 13,413 students.

This year’s freshman class is the best-prepared cohort to date. The fall 2018 freshmen set a record with an overall average high school GPA of 3.46. Last year’s freshman class upped that average to 3.50. And this year’s freshman class of 1,627 looks to make history again with an average high school GPA of 3.54.

The freshman class also is shaping up to be the most diverse and academically prepared ever.

Since the launch of the One UND Strategic Plan, the collective GPA of UND’s freshman classes consistently has made a small but steady year-to-year increase. Read more on the story.
