Informational newsletter from the UND Office of Admissions

The transition to UND starts now

Now that your student is admitted to UND, they can start the New Student Transition process for fall 2021. If you or your student have questions be sure to reach out to your admissions rep. They can walk you through the transition process step by step to make sure you have all the information you need. Make sure your student takes these steps to get registered for classes as early as possible, as classes fill up fast.

Freshman New Student Transition Steps

  1. Confirm enrollment: Let us know your student is coming to UND by paying the $200 nonrefundable confirmation deposit (if they haven’t already). This is a prepayment applied to tuition, fees or other charges.
  2. Make reservations: Two business days after paying the deposit, your student can complete the New Student Transition reservation process which includes reserving their spot for an online registration date.
  3. Complete the Virtual Registration Process: Two business days prior to your student’s registration session, they’ll receive an email with their academic advisement sheet and a video tutorial showing them how to enroll for classes. If your student successfully enrolls for their first semester of classes in Campus Connection and doesn’t have any questions, they can skip their online registration session.
