Nursing Direct Admission Program

If your student has an interest in nursing, UND offers a direct admission program for high-achieving high school seniors. As many as 20 qualified seniors will be selected for direct placement at UND. High school students who want to be considered for early admission first must apply for UND admission as a senior and declare Nursing as their major on the admission application. They also must achieve a high school GPA of 3.5+ and an ACT score of 27+.

The selection process begins in November for the following year, and priority will be given to early applications. Students who are not selected for direct admission are encouraged to apply for admission to the nursing program through the standard admission process

Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Early Assurance Programs

If your student has an interest in physical therapy or occupational therapy, UND is now offering an early assurance program for high-achieving high school seniors. As many as 20 qualified seniors will be selected for admission placement at UND. High school students who are interested must declare intent to pursue Pre-Physical Therapy or Pre-Occupational Therapy on their UND admission applicationIf your student is a qualified candidate, an invitation to apply will be sent to them to complete the Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy early assurance application.

The selection process begins in September for the following year, and priority will be given to early applications. Students who are not selected for early assurance are encouraged to apply for admission to the traditional PT/OT program through the standard admission process.

Direct admission programs are a great way to celebrate your student’s hard work in high school with a fast pass to their chosen degree. If your student is interested in either of these programs, contact admissions to change their major or ensure they have the right major listed.
