Study Abroad students required to return to U.S. immediately

UND is requiring all students to evacuate all study abroad programs and return to the U.S. immediately. This decision is based on the Global Level 3 Health Advisory from the US Department of State for all countries due to the spread of COVID-19.

Given this sudden cancellation, we are contacting your host institution and UND academic advisors to develop an academic plan. We recognize this cancellation may be disheartening and that this decision probably creates a lot of questions. We will work to answer your questions as fast as we can and ask for your patience as our first priority is your return to the U.S. We have a UND team ready to support your academic success and address your financial questions upon your return to the US.

Immediately secure flights to return to the U.S. Once you have secured return flights, please email your flight details to the Assistant Director of the International Center, Amy Senger, at Assistant Director Senger will share any information regarding self-quarantine protocol as we receive updates from the CDC or Department of State. UND will make every effort to address any financial hardships as a result of this evacuation. We will contact each one of you personally once you are back in the U.S. to discuss this and your academic plan.

Again, your health and safety is our top priority and UND is here to assist you throughout this process. Our direct office numbers are listed below if you have any questions about travel. We’ll also be checking our email frequently.
