On April 16, 2018, the Essential Studies Office and Essential Studies Committee hosted a campus-wide session on the upcoming changes to the ES Special Emphasis requirements related to Intercultural Knowledge & Skills. Discussed was a summary of the new course categories (to replace the categories of US and Global Diversity as of Fall 2020), along with information related to the National Survey of Student Engagement, the Essential Studies Assessment Week process, and a detailed description of the changes, including a rationale and citations to the literature.
For those interested, the slide deck from the April 16 session is also available. Please be on the lookout for more information about the transition, including additional sessions in the 2018-19 academic year.
