May 8 ES Assessment Week Scoring Session Focused on Information Literacy

The Essential Studies Program’s once-per-semester assessment process continued with a May 8 scoring session focused on the program learning goal of Information Literacy.  Nearly 30 faculty and staff came together to score and discuss work submitted by approximately 175 students in February 2018.  Although results are still being analyzed, information on aggregate student performance will be available on the ES website by late-May, and will serve as the basis for future discussions about whether this aspect of the ES Program is meeting the high standards expected of all program learning goals.
