Effective January 1, 2019, UND implemented the requirement that all UND event registrations, including camps, banquets, symposiums, workshops, and UND hosted courses outside of regular Academic course offerings, utilize an online payment site to be setup through UND Conference & Event Services. A setup fee and a $5 per registration fee was assessed for this service. Departments are no longer authorized to collect the event registration/fees (by cash/check) within their department or at the event.
UND Administration appreciates and would like to thank the departments that have been providing feedback regarding this new process. Based on the feedback, their input and suggestions have resulted in the following change:
UND Administration did not want this new process to be cost prohibitive in providing a more secure and efficient method for the collection of registrations/fees. Effective October 1, 2019, administration will cover the fee, on behalf of the departments, for the setup of the online payment sites by UND Conference and Event Services. This includes the $300 initial set up fee and the $100 annual fee for events that are reoccurring. The department is still responsible for the per registration fee, which is used to cover bank fees and registration processing. The registration fee will remain at $5 per registration, unless the registration price is exceptionally high. In these instances a higher per registration fee will be negotiated or bank fees will need to be covered by the department.
