Important G&C Award Budget Set-Up Info & Upcoming eRA Commons Changes

Grants & Contracts is committed to the timely set up of awards in PeopleSoft. To that end, G&C has developed the Award Budget Setup (ABS) form to eliminate delays in the setup process. Upon notification of an award by Research & Sponsored Program Development (RSPD), business offices will be responsible for completing the ABS form and emailing it to the appropriate G&C manager before an award set up will be completed in PeopleSoft. Lauren Pite, Director of Grants & Contracts, will provide additional information regarding the ABS in the next few weeks.

eRA Commons has recently announced they will be moving to integrate with Login.gov to implement two-factor authentication for their accounts. The current deadline for this change to the log in process for eRA Commons is September 15th, 2021, and is expected to be a phased implementation. There is no action currently required for our users, but this change to the log in process will require additional effort from users and we recommend becoming familiar with the new log in requirements as soon as available and practicable. Michael Sadler, Director, Research & Sponsored Program Development, and Lauren Pite, Director of Grants & Contracts, will continue to send out reminders as the deadline approaches.
