Max Hansen, DO, to give Surgery Grand Rounds talk on ground level falls Feb. 15

Max Hansen, DO, PGY II resident in the UND Department of Surgery will present a talk entitled “All The Kings Horses and All The Kings Men” at Sanford Health – Broadway in Fargo, N.D., from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019. All are welcome to attend.

The objectives of his talk are:

  1. Describe the challenges of appropriately triaging ground level falls (GLF) in elderly patients
  2. Explain the morbidity and mortality of ground level falls in elderly patients
  3. Identify new strategies being implemented at various locations to improve management of GLF in elderly
  4. Discuss current research being conducted at UND regarding GLF in elderly patients
