Imaging, Histology, and Flow Cytometry Cores open house Dec. 5

The Imaging, Histology, and ND-Flow Cytometry Core facilities invite you to an open house on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event will kickoff with a presentation at 1 p.m. in room E223 describing the facilities and the services that each provides, followed by demonstrations of instrumentation and services available in each of the cores. In addition, there will be a workshop for those interested in using the new Leica Thunder Imager for 3D live cell imaging located in the Imaging Core.

The Leica Thunder Imager is the latest acquisition in the Imaging Core facility which was purchased with funds provided by the DaCCoTA CTR and the UND SMHS. This microscope system is capable of rapidly capturing confocal-like 3D fluorescent images of cellular and tissue samples in multiple formats, and is ideal for imaging tissue arrays, organoids, and cells cultured in multi-well and multi-array formats.

We are excited to have you see the resources available for your research. Please RSVP here if you are planning to attend (or copy and paste the URL below into your browser: https://und.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3mhPK8guzJEsgZf). For those wanting to test their own samples using the Leica Thunder Imager, please select that option in the registration form.

For those looking to attend the presentation online, please register here. You will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Equipment and operations in the cores are supported by funds from the Host-Pathogen CoBRE grant (NIH P20GM113123), the Dakota Cancer Collaborative on Translational Activity (DaCCoTA) CTR grant (NIH U54GM128729), ND INBRE (NIH P20GM103442), and the UND SMHS and Department of Biomedical Sciences.
