Matthew Zweerink to give Surgery Grand Rounds on carotid artery disease May 1

Matthew Zweerink, M.D., a PGY-II resident in the UND Department of Surgery, will present a talk entitled “Carotid artery disease” at Sanford Medical Center Broadway in Fargo, N.D., from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, May 1. All are welcome to attend.*

The objectives of Dr. Zweerink’s talk are:

  • Give a brief overview of the history of carotid artery disease and treatment
  • Define and diagnose carotid artery disease
  • List basic medical and surgical techniques for treatment of carotid artery disease
  • Explain the various complications related to carotid artery disease and treatment

This Surgery Grand Rounds Conference, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences Department of Surgery, is broadcast via videoconference to many sites in North Dakota and Minnesota.
