Matthew Zweerink to give Surgery Ground Rounds on abdominal aortic aneurysm Sept. 4
Matthew Zweerink, M.D., a PGY-III resident in the UND Department of Surgery, will present a talk titled “The Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm” at Sanford Medical Center Broadway in Fargo, N.D., from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020. All are welcome to attend.
The objectives of Dr. Zweerink’s talk are:
- Describe the history of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) as it pertains to vascular surgery
- Explain the indications for open versus endovascular repair of AAA
- Describe major complications associated with repair of AAA
- Describe long term outcomes post AAA intervention
