Monica Norby

Monica Norby is a laboratory experience manager in the microbiology and anatomy/physiology labs with UND’s Department of Biomedical Sciences in Grand Forks. In this role, Monica is responsible for preparing and teaching microbiology labs. Originally from Rolla, N.D., Monica attended University of Jamestown and University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from UJ and a doctoral degree in plant breeding and plant genetics from UW-Madison.

“After an education blessed with science instructors who taught student learning through discovery,” said Monica, “I am excited to guide students through their own investigations and help them ask questions that will lead them on the path of learning through discovery.”
