Med students share volunteer experiences online at Service Learning Day 2021
On Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, SMHS medical students participated in the third annual Service Learning Day at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS).
Service Learning Day is designed to give students the opportunity to reflect on a volunteer experience they engaged in and share how their work affected the community in question—and shaped the students’ views of health and healthcare in the world.
Although this year’s event was conducted via Zoom, posters will be on display in the SMHS from Feb. 1 – 12, 2021, outside the eight learning communities in the SMHS building in Grand Forks.
