Joclyn Seiler to give Surgery Grand Rounds on colon cancer March 12

Joclyn Seiler, M.D., a PGY-III resident in the UND Department of Surgery, will present a talk entitled “Colon Cancer Screening Guidelines” at Altru Health System in Grand Forks, N.D., from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021. Join the Zoom link meeting at: https://und.zoom.us/j/490250938.

The objectives of Dr. Seiler’s talk are:

  1. Describe what constitutes average, increased, or high risk factors when talking about colon cancer screening.
  2. Describe Haggitt level.
  3. Describe what a fecal immunochemical test is, its validity, and when to use it.
  4. Describe an appropriate screening interval depending on pathology.
