New Library Resource: McGraw Hill Medical

SMHS Library Resources has recently added access to all nineteen platforms within McGraw Hill Medical. You may be familiar with AccessMedicine, a frequently used resource known for user-friendly access to current editions of key reference sources. Our new subscription provides access to similar platforms that are specifically created for your medical specialty: AccessCardiology, AccessPediatrics, AccessSurgery, and AccessObGyn, to name a just few. Each platform provides a focused collection of online reference works, study and self-assessment tools, case files, and multimedia features to enhance student learning. A variety of new health sciences resources are also available, including AccessPhysiotherapy and the FA Davis collection for Athletic Training and PT.

In addition, McGraw Hill provides resources to maximize our integration of these tools into courses. Librarians at McGraw Hill have created Content Maps to aid instructors in discovering where topics are covered. For example, take a look at the Content Map for Undergraduate Medical Education. Librarians at McGraw Hill have also created robust platform guides to highlight content and features for each of the platforms.

Want to learn more? Consider your inviting your liaison librarian to a departmental meeting to provide a demonstration of relevant platforms and to answer your questions.
