Research Tip: Best practice process for proposals

A new research proposal checklist was developed in Jan. 2022. But because even one small change to the budget tool affects the proposal packet, and thus the Novelution submission, please follow a best practice procedure up front. To help navigate the checklist, then, follow the procedure below, which should result in needing fewer changes in all areas of the draft proposal:

1. Fill out the budget tool and email to Diane Hillebrand or Susan Holden in Research Affairs.
2. THEN complete the “ASSIST/Other packet” portal and ask Research Affairs to review.
3. Finally, place the proposal in Novelution asking via email for another review.

This should greatly reduce your time spent making edits to research proposals.
