UND Internal Medicine Grand Rounds event on quality and safety set for May 18

The next UND Department of Internal Medicine Grand Rounds event, “Quality and Safety in Medicine,” will be broadcast via Zoom from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18.

This presentation features Roxana Lupu, M.D., M.B.A., FACP, director and medical information officer at Sanford Health – Health Services Division in Sioux Falls, S.D., and Kristi Ball, M.B.A, R.N., system executive director of Quality & Safety at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  1. Define quality medical care and how it relates to patient safety and physician practice.
  2. Describe how health information technology can support delivery of high quality care and quality improvement.
  3. List and describe the three teams that make up Quality & Safety at Sanford Health.
  4. Explain the Physician’s role in improving quality & safety for the patient.
