Given the email that was sent by Interim President Wynne and Incoming President Armacost this afternoon indicating that UND would be extending the period of remote instruction through the end of the spring semester, we wanted to send an update regarding the status of flight training during this time.
We have not yet set a date for when flight training will resume. We are evaluating this on a weekly basis, and when we feel it is safe to do so we will resume flight training. When we do resume flight training, we know for certain that it will be limited. Our limitations might be for certain courses, progress, and/or semester of training.
If you are outside of the Grand Forks area, remain where you are. Do not return at this time. We will communicate our plans regarding having students return to Grand Forks and resume their flight training at the appropriate time.
It is important to note, when we do resume flight training it will not be normal operations for some time. Our number one priority continues to be the health and safety of everyone.
Stay tuned and stay safe.
