If you have not done so already, we ask that all flight training students who are not taking a flight course this summer to complete a short survey. The information from this survey will be used to make future decisions as we invite more students back to resume their flight training.
Flight training has resumed
Today, we experienced our first airplane and helicopter training flight. It is great to see students back on the flight line. Flight Instructors are completing their currency and proficiency training. More and more flight instructors are returning to work week by week.
Our goal continues to be everyone’s health and safety as we move forward this summer. Students will be invited back to training throughout the summer as a control to mitigate potential COVID exposure in the only on campus activity involving students. The information you submit to the survey will be used to plan out our summer.
COVID safety mitigation training
All students are required to complete and review the materials for COVID mitigation procedures. This information can be found on the new “flight training labs” Blackboard site. You can find the site in “My UND” and then listed under “My Organizations” on Blackboard.
At this time the airport shuttle is not available but we expect it to be operating soon. The airport shuttle will be limited to 4 passengers. Each passengers temperature will be taken prior to entering the van. We will notify the students when the airport shuttle is up and running.
