The North Dakota Space Grant Consortium participated in the 2015 Young Scientists and Engineers Academy on Wednesday July 29th. 26 middle school students participated in the morning session, while 34 elementary students attended the afternoon session. The students toured the space suit lab, flew the spacecraft simulators, and saw the electric rover. Students then had a conference call with Roger Storm, of NASA Glenn Research Center to learn about human space exploration. They then designed and created their own neutrally buoyant objects in teams, using the engineering design process. Thank you to all who pitched in!
