Opportunity for ND Educators – Funding to Attend Space Conference in Houston

The North Dakota Space Grant Consortium is pleased to invite all North Dakota K-12 pre-service and in-service educators to apply for funding (airfare, hotel, and registration costs) to attend the Space Exploration Educators Conference this upcoming February.

Who: Any North Dakota educator in K-12 (ND College students majoring in Education fields are also eligible to apply.)

What: Space Exploration Educators Conference

Where: Houston, TX (NASA Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston)

When: February 1-3, 2018

Why: It’s a great opportunity to learn and DO hands-on space-related or STEM activities that you can take back to the classroom.  The sessions are taught by NASA scientists and engineers, and educators from across the country.  Some of the special sessions include tours of NASA Johnson Space Center, and each year there is even a scuba diving session to train just like the astronauts do!

If you are interested in applying for ND Space Grant funding, applications are due Friday December 15th.
