Manyapu’s Material Prototypes on Display at MSI

Several samples of material prototypes from the UND Aerospace Sciences Ph.D. research work done by Dr. Kavya Manyapu were recently on display at the “Wired to Wear” exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) in Chicago, IL, as part of their recent Apollo 50th Anniversary displays.  This was the first ever exhibit dedicated to the future of wearable technology.  Kavya’s research, under the guidance of Dr. Pablo de León while at UND, and now through her employment at The Boeing Company’s Starliner program, is intended to lengthen the astronaut’s time on the Lunar surface.  Dr. Manyapu is a member of the Space Studies adjunct faculty.
