Dec. 23: Theatre workshops offered for kids

The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre is now registering for one of its most popular Play Days: Dec. 23 at the Fire Hall Theatre in downtown Grand Forks from 1-5 p.m.

The four-hour Play Days are for youth in grades K-6 and take place when school is out of session (please check your child’s school schedule).  Children are read a story, then they turn that story into a “scriptless play,” acting out the parts, adding costume pieces and stage make-up, and finally performing it for parents and friends during the last 15-minutes of the workshop.

November’s workshop has a theme of diversity and will be led by Amy Driscoll, and December’s will be led by Kathy Coudle-King and will bring back the theatre’s annual Frosty the Snowman play.

Registration is $35 for one workshop and the second one is discounted by $5 when enrolling in both workshops (total $65). Families can also save $5 on each additional child enrolled in the same workshop ($35 for the first, $30 for the second, or $130 when enrolling both children in both workshops).

Registration can be made by emailing info@ggfct.com .  But you must register by Dec. 21. Call 746.0847 for more information.
