March 27: John Quinones speaks at Delta Gamma Lectureship

John Quinones, host and creator of the ABC Series, What Would You Do?, will visit Grand Forks on Monday, March 27, at the Delta Gamma Foundation/Everson Family Lectureship in Values and Ethics, 7 p.m. at the Chester Fritz Auditorium.

As part of his highly-rated, hidden camera ethical dilemma newsmagazine, Quinones has become “the face of doing the right thing” to millions of fans. It’s a role that he has enthusiastically embraced off camera, with a popular book and keynote presentations that challenge both business and general audiences to examine the What Would You Do? moments we face every day.

A lifetime of “never taking no for an answer” took Quinones from migrant farm work and poverty to more than 30 years at ABC News and the anchor desk at 20/20 and Primetime. His moving presentations focus on his odds-defying journey, celebrate the life-changing power of education, champion the Latino American Dream, and provide thought-provoking insights into human nature and ethical behavior.

The UND Alpha Theta chapter of Delta Gamma established the Delta Gamma Foundation/Everson Family Lectureship in Values and Ethics in 2011. The UND chapter is one of only 20 Delta Gamma collegiate chapters in the country to sponsor this Lectureship. A 1966 UND alum, Jacque Geving-Everson, provided a lead gift to the UND chapter of Delta Gamma to establish this lecture series. Numerous other alumnae and community members, as well as local businesses have contributed to the lectureship endowment, which is managed through the UND Alumni Association & Foundation.

This will be the third Lectureship held at UND. In 2015, abduction survivor Elizabeth Smart spoke to a packed crowd at the Chester Fritz. The event is free and open to the public. It is recommended that you come early to get a seat. Doors will open at 6 pm.
