Staff Mentoring Program set for fourth year; will you be part of it?

Learning & Development (L&D) is now accepting applications for the Staff Mentoring Program, kicking off May 16. The Mentoring Program is a single cohort, year-long program. There are four required training sessions participants must attend as well as meeting at least once each month with their mentoring partner. Optional development activities will be offered throughout the duration of the program.

L&D will be holding informational sessions entitled Stretch Yourself with Mentoring on Monday, April 3, 11:00-11:30 a.m. and 1-1:30 p.m. in the Badlands Room, Memorial Union. Sessions will include a program overview, along with the expectations, responsibilities, and best practices to help you succeed.  If you are unable to attend please visit the L&D website to learn more about the program.

Applications are available online for those interested in participating as a mentee or serving as a mentor. The link for the Mentoring Program Application is on the left hand side of the page. Applications will be accepted through April 14. Applications will help L&D to understand more about you and what you are looking to gain from the program. This way they can ensure a viable match is created for you. The application should take you no more than 20 minutes to complete. You will need the following to complete the application:

  • Resume
  • Supervisor’s letter of support

L&D is pleased to kick off the fourth year of this program and continue to help UND staff grow personally and professionally in their career. If you should have questions please contact Carrie Herrig, learning & development coordinator at ldp@und.edu or 701.777.0720.
