March 29: Starfish information sessions will focus on advising tools

Student Academic Services, in collaboration with the Student Success Center and the College of Arts & Sciences, is excited to present a series of sessions on Starfish, a tool to assist faculty, staff, and advisors in working with students. Each session will have two available dates and times. For more information on Starfish, go to http://techsupport.und.edu/starfish

The third of four sessions is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28 at 9-9:50 a.m. or Wednesday, March 29, at 1-1:50 p.m. in the River Valley Room of the Memorial Union. No registration is required. Sessions will be recorded and posted on the support site referenced above.

Session #3

ADVISING TOOLS

This session will focus on academic advising and Starfish.  Faculty and professional advisors have the opportunity to use Starfish when documenting advisement notes.  Other topics covered will be the filtering feature which allows academic advisors to filter advisee lists for various purposes.  Automatic messaging and other ways Starfish can benefit the advisement process will also be covered.
