Opportunities to donate for disaster relief in Texas

The Staff Senate and Staff Senate Community Relations Committee want to help, along with the rest of the nation, to provide donations to the relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey disaster.  They have teamed up with the Grand Forks United Way to collect donations and to facilitate the delivery of those monies to the United Way of Texas to help where the money is needed, like the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and others.

We will provide a donation box at the State Employee Recognition week events during the week of Sept. 11-15 and will also have a Special Denim Spirit Day on Wednesday, Sept. 27, to be designated for this greatly needed effort. We, here in Grand Forks, are very aware of the devastation of what a flood can do and we need to pay it forward it as much as we can.
