Abbie Sondeland named UND Student Nurse of the Year

Congratulations to the 2017 UND Student Nurse of the Year, Abbie Sondeland! Abbie is a third semester nursing student  from Edinburg, N.D.

Abbie says she keeps in mind her own experiences as a patient as she learns to be a nurse, and adds, “I am grateful for the guidance and leadership from UND faculty and the teamwork with classmates to promote a positive learning environment.”  Abbie hopes to work in intensive care or telemetry after she graduates next year.

Abbie will represent UND at the Nursing Students’ Association of North Dakota (NSAND) convention in Bismarck in January, where she will compete from the state Student Nurse of the Year title.
