Dec. 1: Special Denim Day for the Special Olympics of North Dakota

This Friday’s Special Denim Day will be for the Special Olympics of North Dakota.   This is in association with their yearly event Polar Plunge, an annual fundraiser organized by North Dakota Law Enforcement as part of the year-round Law Enforcement Torch Run to raise awareness and fund to benefit Special Olympics North Dakota (SOND).  Polar Plunges offer a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support Special Olympics North Dakota athletes by raising money and taking the plunge into frigid North Dakota waters.  This event will be on Feb.24, 2018.

Funds collected go to help support SOND and their work with athletes which includes putting on first rate athletic competitions, facilities, equipment, providing meals and other needs that may arise

Wear denim and/or spirit colors of green or pick or UND gear and give what you can to your Denim Day site coordinator or if you do not have one in your building, you can send it directly to Twamley Hall, Room 300, Stop 8193.

Checks should be made out to “Denim Day”.  Please put Special Denim Day on the envelope and have it sent no later than Dec 8.
