Deborah Vonasek, retired assistant in technical services at the Chester Fritz Library, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at home in Grand Forks. She was 64.
Deborah Ann Pelowski, the daughter of Jerome and Marian (Knutson) Pelowski was born in Grand Forks on Sept. 25, 1953. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Schroeder Junior High School, and graduated from Red River High School in 1971.
Deborah worked her entire career at the Chester Fritz Library at UND, from September 1977 until she retired in 2015.
Deborah married John Vonasek on Jan. 3, 1981 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.
Deborah enjoyed her flower gardens, fishing, and get-togethers for lunch or evenings with her co-worker girlfriends.
Deborah is survived by her husband, John, Grand Forks; a son, Gary Stillinger, Grand Forks; a brother, Micheal (LouAnn) Pelowski, Endicott, NY; sister, Brenda (Allan) Depew, Tucson, AZ; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ann Marie, and a brother, Gary.
Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St., Grand Forks, with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church.
