Chester Fritz Library staff donates books to first grade classroom

The Staff of the Chester Fritz Library, for the fifth year, had a rousing internal fund drive to buy books for a local classroom.

This year the recipient was Tara Gregory and her first grade classroom at Discovery school, selected from the Adopt-A Classroom website. The staff at the library again had a vigorous competition with teams striving to collect the most cash. This year’s collections came to $251.20 and they were able to purchase 28 books of the teacher’s choosing.

Stephanie Walker, Dean of the Chester Fritz Library, Joan Miller, President of Staff Association and Inter-Library Loan Specialist and Patricia Reed, Acquisitions Specialist of the library and a member of Staff Association, presented the books to Gregory on Dec. 22 at her classroom at Discovery. She expressed her gratitude and was anxious to share her books with her class and the other first grade teachers.
