Jan. 22 and 25: Three Minute Thesis competition

3mt-logoThe School of Graduate Studies is pleased to host the second Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT®).  Join us  and watch graduate student competitors explain their research in just three minutes!

  • Jan 22 – Preliminary Round, noon to 3 p.m.
  • Jan. 25 – Final Round, 1 to 3 p.m.

The competition will be held in the River Valley Room, Memorial Union, and is open to the public. Refreshments and snacks will be served.

3MT is a university wide competition for graduate students in which participants present their thesis or Major Research Project and its wider impact in three minutes or less.  The challenge is to consolidate research discoveries while presenting in an engaging, accessible and compelling way.

Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is co-sponsored by the UND School of Graduate Studies, and the Division of Research & Economic Development. 3MT is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland.
