Feb. 28: Transforming the Use of Technology in Teaching & Learning workshops
Goal 3 of the UND Strategic Plan is to “Deliver more educational opportunity online and on-campus.” There are many academic technology tools available to help improve course delivery in support of this goal. Our instructional designers and academic support staff are here to help you use technology to meet learning outcomes for both online and on-campus courses. Several workshops in February demonstrate how to use these technologies, and also why and when to use these tools to be most effective.
Below are a few of the workshops coming up. Click the title of the workshop to register.
- Formative Assessment using Qualtrics & other Tools – Assessment is an important part of your ongoing teaching of your online course, learn how Qualtrics can make peer-evaluations and other assessments less time consuming. Upcoming sessions will be offered Feb. 8, 10-11 a.m. and Feb. 12, 2-3 p.m.
- Using Blackboard Tests to Improve Assessments and Analyze Student Performance – Learn what Blackboard online tests can tell you about student performance and the effectiveness of the assessment. Upcoming sessions offered Feb. 6, 10-11 a.m. and Feb. 14, 2-3 p.m.
- Developing Social Interaction with VoiceThread – Promote student engagement using VoiceThread, a new tool available in Blackboard. Upcoming sessions offered Feb. 15, 2-3 p.m. and Feb. 28, 10-11 a.m.
- Evaluating your Online Course – Learn about the pedagogical and research foundations of the Rubric for Evaluating Online Courses and how to use it to review and improved quality in in your online courses. Upcoming sessions offered Feb. 16, 10-11 a.m. and Feb. 28, 1:30-2:30 p.m
