April 16: Information session on new Essential Studies intercultural knowledge requirements

Those with an interest in the upcoming changes to the Essential Studies program requirements related to Intercultural Knowledge & Skills are invited to a campus-wide session on Monday, April 16.  The intent is to bring members of the ES Committee and those who may be interested in validating courses for the new Intercultural Knowledge & Skills requirements together to facilitate a smooth and effective transition.  Here are the key details:

• The session will occur on Monday, April 16, 3-4 p.m. in the Union’s River Valley Room.
• Information will be provided about the data we have on student learning in this area and the nature of the new course categories.
• There will be an opportunity to discuss ideas you might have with members of the Essential Studies Committee.
• The change takes effect in Fall 2020, which means the time between now and Dec 1, 2019 will be key for submitting validation requests to the ES Committee for review.
