Donations sought for UND student food bank

Food For Thought is a food bank at the Student Union that provides food items for students in need.  To help, UND Staff Senate has set up donation boxes across campus for you to donate to the food drive, including the University Federal Credit Union, Chester Fritz Library, School of Medicine & Health Sciences, Facilities, Hughes Fine Arts Center, as well as many other places on campus. Boxes will be in place through Oct. 2.

You can also contact your area Denim Day coordinator about donations.  Or donate directly to the Student Involvement Center at the Union. Check out this video for more information on the food pantry: http://www.wdaz.com/community/people/4438157-food-thought-und-creates-food-pantry-students.

Nonperishable items needed include: peanut butter and jelly; rice – in ready to microwave containers but will take bags; canned tuna or chicken, etc., or individual packages of tuna or chicken; individual mac and cheese or box dinners; microwave cup of noodles or soups; cereal; canned milk; individual packages of nuts, applesauce, gelatin, and pudding; canned fruits and vegetables (hopefully with pull tabs on them); personal care products such as shampoo, deodorant, lotions, and bar soap.
