Food drive will provide items for students in need

There is now a food bank at the Student Union called Food For Thought to provide food items for students in need.

To help, UND Staff Senate will set up donation boxes across campus for you to donate to the food drive from Sept. 17 to Oct. 2.  You can also contact your area Denim Day coordinator about donations, or donate directly to the Student Involvement Center at the Union.

Nonperishable items needed include peanut butter and jelly, rice (in ready to microwave containers but will take bags), canned or individual packages of tuna or chicken, individual mac and cheese or box dinners; microwave cup of noodles or soups, cereal/ canned milk, individual packages of nuts/applesauce/jello/pudding; canned fruits and vegetables (hopefully with pull tabs on them), and personal care products such as shampoo/deodorant/lotions/bar soap.
