To Sept. 29: ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ plays at Burtness Theatre

Midsummer PubA Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare will play at the Burtness Lab Theatre, 7:30 p.m. nightly Sept. 25-29. It is produced by UND Theatre Arts.

The students, faculty and staff of UND Theatre Arts are pleased to open the 2018-19 season with one of Shakespeare’s most beloved shows. We feel, and know you will too, that there isn’t a better way to start the season than with a classic by the Bard.

Shakespeare’s most popular comedy, set in an enchanted forest with sprites lurking and fairies feuding, sparring lovers and a group of amateur actors who are putting on a play within a play. Chief mischief-maker Puck is on-hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most beguiling comedy.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $8 for students. They are available at the box office at Burtness Theatre Lobby, 3-6 p.m. daily and 3-7:30 p.m. day of show. Call (701) 777-2587.
