Nov. 9: Free full spectrum opioid seminar for medical providers and students

A free seminar on Full Spectrum Opioids for medical providers and students is set for 5:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in E101, UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences.  Register online.

This seminar will address current concepts in the assessment, treatment, and prevention of opioid addiction.  It will cover current guidelines for medication-assisted treatments in rural areas, discuss and encourage local and state (medical and non-medical) resources to work together to approach the opioid epidemic, analyze the ECHO model as a cost-effective way to address opioid issues in a stigma-free community, and apply point of care and point of crisis treatment of opioid use disorder in an incarceration setting.

The seminar is for all healthcare professionals affected by the opioid crisis, especially physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, allied health providers, and health profession students.
