Nov. 12: Sports, Speech, and Social Justice conversation features Eric Burin

Please join UND’s Center for Human Rights and Genocide Studies for a “pregame” community conversation about sports, speech, and social justice on Monday, Nov. 12, at Half Brothers Brewing Company.

This event will feature Eric Burin (History), the editor of Protesting on Bended Knee: Race, Dissent, and Patriotism in 21st Century America (The Digital Press at UND, 2018). He will be joined by local authors who contributed essays to the project and who represent a diversity of views on the controversial protests launched by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Free digital copies of the book are available from The Digital Press at UND: https://thedigitalpress.org/protesting/

This free event is open to the public. The Center for Human Rights and Genocide Studies will provide appetizers for our attendees. We look forward to an engaging and lively community conversation!
