Voluntary separation applications due Jan. 15

The University is offering a limited-time Tenured Faculty and Benefited Staff Voluntary Separation Incentive Program.

The application period began Dec. 3, and will end at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15. All applications must be received by that time.

UND is offering the program, which offers incentive payouts for approved faculty and staff, after the State of North Dakota offered a separation program for state agencies.

Eligible applications must qualify for the “rule of 65,” which is the sum of age and years of service. The program offers a payment equal to 100 percent of an individual’s annual base salary for tenured faculty and one week’s pay per completed year of service, up to a maximum of 50 percent of annual base salary, for benefited staff. Staff will receive compensation for all unused/accrued annual leave and 10% of unused/accrued sick leave if employed 10 or more years at UND.
