Oct. 19: American Indian Health Research Conference

Indigenous Health, Research, and Resiliency is the theme for the 17th Annual American Indian Health Research Conference (AIHRC) Saturday, Oct. 19.

The keynote speaker for the AIHRC is Nicole Redvers, an assistant professor with Indians Into Medicine (INMED) at the School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Redvers is a licensed naturopathic doctor who has traveled the world studying a variety of traditional medicine systems and working with Indigenous patients, helping to bridge the gap between traditional and modern medical systems.

The AIHRC is a day-long event featuring speakers, researchers, students, and community members presenting and discussing their research within American Indian communities. It also serves as an opportunity for participants to network and partner with communities, tribal colleges, and researchers on other projects. More information about AIHRC can be found at https://ruralhealth.und.edu/projects/american-indian-health-research-conference.
