Nov. 2: DAKNO Gaming eSports Day

The University of North Dakota is proud to be a lead sponsor in the upcoming “DAKNO Gaming eSports Day,” set for Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.

If you have any journalists in your news rooms or among your reporting staff who may have an interest in the rapidly growing world of eSports and gaming, the upcoming DAKNO Gaming eSports Day would be a great opportunity to showcase how popular this activity is becoming across our region – to the point where some regional high schools are hosting eSports club teams.

The Grand Forks event is scheduled to run from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Nov. 2, at the Alerus Center, and will feature competitions and cash prizes in games such as “Super Smash Bros.” (1st place: $1,000; 2nd place: $500), “Halo 3” (1st place: $150; 2nd place: $100) and “Madden 19” (1st place: $150; 2nd place: $100).

Participants can still register for DAKNO Gaming eSports Day at www.DAKNOGAMING.com.

Schedule:

  • 11 a.m. Doors Open, Tournament Registration & Check ins.
  • 11:30 a.m. Official Welcome.
  • Noon-6 p.m. Super Smash Bros. Tournament.
  • 2-9p.m. Madden NFL Tournament.
  • 6-9p.m. Halo 3 Tournament.
