Feb. 23: Resilience – Celebrating Black History through word and song at Fire Hall Theatre

Resilience: Celebrating Black History month through word and song is set for 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Fire Hall Theatre, 412 2nd Ave. N.

The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre and High Plains Fair Housing present a cabaret featuring the work of such well known African Americans as Duke Ellington and Aretha Franklin, and historical figures Sojourner Truth and Frederick Douglass.

Music, storytelling, spoken word, and speeches will be shared. Family friendly event.

Tickets at the door, $10.
