Two articles by Feng “Frank” Xiao, assistant professor of civil engineering, published in Water Research (2018 impact factor: 7.913), were recognized as “Highly Cited Papers” according to Web of Science. This indicates that both of papers received enough citations to place them in the Top 1% of the entire academic field of Environment/Ecology based on a highly cited threshold for the field.
