Healthy Hawks signage templates available for Smart Restart

As the University prepares to welcome the UND community back for the fall semester, members of Facilities Management have been working to prepare campus to be as safe as possible for all students, faculty, staff and campus visitors.

Facilities is in the process of installing commercial grade signage for entry/exits, classrooms, elevators, sanitizing, disinfecting stations, etc. Facilities will install the following types of signage in campus buildings prior to the start of the fall semester:

  • Physical distancing tape and floor dots
  • One-way arrows to direct traffic
  • Maximum capacity signs
  • Enter/exit signs
  • Drinking fountain signs
  • Stairwell/elevator signs

Individual departments do not need to make separate physical distancing and signage plans for their buildings. If Facilities has not yet toured your building to assess your signage and Plexiglass needs, they will be soon.

We recognize that departments may still need additional signage resources that are more specific to their individual spaces. For example, departments should provide general reminders for following CDC guidelines in common workspaces (e.g., breakrooms, conference rooms) as well as for shared equipment and offices supplies (e.g., printers). As part of the Healthy Hawks Restart campaign, printable signs and templates are available on the coronavirus blog.

These customizable templates can be used as reminders to:

  • Stay 6 feet apart at the conference room
  • Use hand sanitizer before/after entering the shared kitchen
  • Disinfect the office printer before/after use

Healthy Hawks signage may be printed at Duplicating Services or on office printers. If you have ideas/suggestions for the Healthy Hawks communication campaign, please contact Sara Haugen at sara.haugen@UND.edu.
